Are you considering Catherine Place as the retirement home for you or your family member but have some questions? We have collected some of the most common questions here for your convenience. If you still have more questions, don’t hesitate to call us.
Our food program is incredibly unique and vastly different from what you will find elsewhere. We have a 24-hour dining room buffet which offers daily hot breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Outside the typical meal periods you will still have access to an arrangement of freshly baked snacks, cereal bar, numerous hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, fruits, and our soups are available from 11 AM – 11 PM daily. Note at breakfast time specifically, we offer made to order, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausages, eggs and even omelettes!
We are also situated in a quiet neighbourhood nestled in a residential area in St. Boniface but extremely close to many conveniently shops and services close by.
Our residence is small and comfortable and not overly expansive or overwhelming in size.

We do not. We have a handful of residents that can speak French but almost always speak in English. Everyone is welcome!
We are located at 190 Raymond Place located off of Traverse Avenue. Traverse Avenue can be found going south from Marion Street or going south from Goulet Street or going north via St. Mary’s Road. Please note that the Raymond Place looks like a back lane when you are driving up to it. This is because the houses in front of our residence are inverted.
Please note that our main entrance is located by the parking lot which is to the right of the building.
Visitor parking is available in the parking lot, however, if it is full, you can also park on the city streets.

You will see stairs, however, if you have mobility challenges you could miss seeing the ramp which is covered and is opposite of the stairs. Its opening does curve around the back of the building.
When you come in, please go through the 2 sets of doors to the reception desk.
Limited, outdoor energized spots are available for $45.00/month. Limited indoor garage spots are available for $75.00/month. All parking is based on a first come first served basis.
Note: The garage is not underground and is not connected to the building and is farther from our entrance than the outdoor spots.
There is limited parking in the parking lot located with “Visitor” signage. Note: Spots vary and are spread throughout the lot. Should Visitor spots be full, you can park along Raymond Place for 2-hour parking or on Traverse which has wide open parking time frames.
A tenant is required to have a phone line and tenants’ insurance. Internet service is not included and would be additional through Shaw/Rogers only.
Parking is additional with outdoor being $45/month and $75.00/month for our garage parking.
All suites (outside of one) have open floor concepts which means we do not have individualized bedrooms in the suites. This means you can do whatever inspires you! We have sixty different floor plans with a range of various layouts. Some are cozy and others are spacious and some feature beams and arches while others have several windows and tall 9 foot ceilings. You can find the floor plan that suits you best. As we have a 24 hour dining room, our suites do not offer kitchens or kitchenettes.
Also note that our medium and large sized suites offer various double sided wall units, which are perfect to give you division between your bedroom and living room area.
Your own personalized furnishings and at least two sets of linens. If you wish you can supply your own portable air conditioner and a mini-bar fridge and microwave if you wish.
Yes, they can, a second person fee is $585.00/month.
